These pieces explore the idea that different truths are revealed beneath the surface or through direct interaction. Symbols and codes are built up in the forms of personal circuit diagrams, hinting at cycles of thoughts and behaviours. These ‘circuits’ are carved into the surfaces of blown glass objects; some have differing pattern in their interiors and exteriors, with the exterior pattern revealed more fully when transferred to other media. The patterns are burnt onto the paper or textile scrolls by re-heating the glass and rolling it directly onto the material. A very fragile, delicate surface is created through this interaction and in some cases is destroyed completely.
